Kenall carried out laboratory testing and construction materials testing for the new Lake Forest Elementary School, a 125,000 square-ft. facility that is part of the 1.8 billion dollar reconstruction and renovation of City of New Orleans schools being performed after Hurricane Katrina.

We provided comprehensive laboratory testing and construction materials testing, field inspections and testing, and pile load testing with design engineersÍ specifications. We also calculated geotechnical design parameters for use in design of typical foundation supporting system for the project, and provided guidelines for earthwork (e.g. site preparation, grading and fill compaction) during construction. This project was funded by federal disaster declaration and was administered in compliance with federal regulations and GLO/FEMA guidelines.
