Kenall provided QA testing for construction-related services associated with numerous facilities at Ellington Air Force Base. The project consisted of a 100,000 square foot training center with an asphalt parking lot; a heated storage building; a new entrance facility/visitors’ center for Ellington Field; a vehicle maintenance shop with a storage building; a battleground training center; and associated roads and parking areas.

Our material testing and inspection responsibilities included: performing field density tests in pavement and open areas in accordance with ASTM standards; welding and bolt inspection; magnetic particle, liquid penetrate, and ultrasonic and radiographic testing; and compressive, compaction, flexural strength and slump tests.
