Kenall is under a contract with USACE Fort Worth district to develop 100% design documents for the repair of Dam 42 (Landfill Lake) at Fort Hood, Texas. Dam 42 is being repaired to achieve compliance with State of Texas Dam Safety Laws and Guidelines, and Federal Regulations to meet the 1000-year storm event criteria, and to correct other deficiencies identified in the Phase II inspection report prepared by Freese & Nichols, Inc. The scope of work addresses the rehabilitation of Dam 42, including emergency repairs of the right (East) Principal Spillway.

Kenall’s scope of work includes: performing seepage and slope stability analysis of proposed embankment modifications and emergency spillway erodibility; confirming inflow design flood criteria; overtopping analysis for the new dam profile; reviewing and documenting the existing conditions; performing planimetric, topographic, and utilities surveys; preparing 35%, 65%, 95%, and 100% design data submittals; developing construction cost estimates; preparing storm drainage and stormwater pollution prevention plan; and responding to bidder inquires and RFIs.
